Mold on parmesan wheel

Aging this wheel of Parmesan for a while now, and I just noticed some mold starting to pop up on the rind. It's mostly small spots, but I tried to make sure the wheel had been and is in a fairly stable environment, I've been brushing it down now and then, but maybe I'm not keeping up with it enough.
I need insights and advice on how to deal with mold during the process? Should I be using a preservative because as of now I'm not

You don't need to spend money on fancy treatments. A cheap saltwater solution and regular brushing will keep the mold under control. Think maintenance, not elimination... it's part of the process.

Small spots on the rind are pretty normal. Brushing them off with a clean, dry brush or a cloth usually does the trick. No need for preservatives, just keep the wheel in a stable, slightly humid environment and check it regularly

If mold sticks around, chop out an inch or so around and under it before consumption. Try not to touch the mold directly with your knife, so you don't spread it.
